Beginners Class
1 week (3 days) 1.5 hours per day
A true introduction to Bitcoin for 100% beginners of all ages. This class is purposely designed to be easy to understand from a layman’s perspective. For people who have heard about Bitcoin, are interested, but know almost nothing about it.
What even is bitcoin? Why does anyone care about it? Why is it worth so much money? What even is money and what are the basics of how the banking system work and how does that relate to Bitcoin? How can something digital have value and scarcity? Does Bitcoin have competitors, and will there ever be a newer bigger Bitcoin? What’s up with “cryptocurrencies?” How about “digital assets” or “stablecoins?” Is Bitcoin a scam or a bubble or a ponzi? How does Bitcoin compare to other capital assets like stocks, real estate, or gold? Why are huge reputable companies like Harvard, Mass Mutual and Tesla buying bitcoin? How do I invest in Bitcoin as a beginner?
These questions and more are answered in this class. My goal in this class is to provide students who have absolutely no understanding of Bitcoin why it is so valuable and to provide students with a basic understanding of how Bitcoin works, how the financial system works, and how investing works..
Each class will be capped at 30 students with a goal of around 15 for a more hands-on environment so students can explore their own questions about bitcoin.
